Holding the Horizon is an educational resource and peer community for partners of people going through menopause. Nothing on this site, including the articles, forum posts and expert Q&A sessions, is medical advice, diagnosis, or therapy. Always speak to a qualified clinician about health concerns.

Posts in the forums are the personal views of members. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for member content.

• You must provide a valid email address and confirm it before you can post.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
• New accounts are approved by a moderator before they can post. Approval is at our discretion and helps keep the community safe.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Choose an anonymous display name. Do not impersonate another person or use a name that identifies you or anyone else.

The forums are a safe space. When you post, you agree:

• To be respectful, even when you disagree. No abuse, slurs, or personal attacks.
• No misogyny, hate speech, or content that demeans women or any group.
• No spam, advertising, self-promotion, or links to commercial products.
• No posting anyone's private information, including your partner's identity.
• No medical diagnoses or prescriptive advice. Share experience, not prescriptions.
• To post in good faith. Trolling and baiting are not welcome.

Moderators may edit, move, or delete posts that break these rules, and may suspend or remove accounts without notice. Serious or repeated breaches mean a permanent ban.

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant us permission to store and display your posts in the community. If you delete a post or your account, we will remove your content from public view within a reasonable time.

We will only email you about your account, confirmation and sign-in messages, moderation decisions, or replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing email.

We work hard to keep the site accurate, available, and safe, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made based on site content, or for member posts.

We may update these terms as the site grows. Material changes will be announced in the community before they take effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
